A nuclear reactor small enough to build in a factory and ship on a truck just closed one of the largest venture rounds of the year. On July 27, Antares โ a three-year-old startup out of Torrance, California โ said it raised $470 million in a Series C to put its microreactors on U.S. military bases (BusinessWire).
That number breaks down into $370 million in equity and $100 million in debt, co-led by Paradigm and Caffeinated Capital, with Point72 Ventures, Shine Capital and Industrious Ventures joining in.
