What it is
Mindtrip is a chat-based AI travel assistant that learns your preferences and builds editable, shareable itineraries, with photos, reviews and an interactive map for each recommendation. You can book flights, stays, restaurants and experiences through it, track prices, and plan with others. The iOS app adds voice chat, a camera for translation and identifying places, and offline itineraries.
Latest: Mindtrip launched chat-based flight booking with Sabre and PayPal in May 2026, and expanded to Europe in June 2026.
What the AI does
- Conversational itinerary generation and editing
- Learns your preferences over time
- Chat-based flight search and booking (Mindtrip Flights, launched May 2026)
- Agents that monitor prices and opportunities
- Voice chat with the assistant
- Camera translation and place identification
Pros and cons
- Completely free, with no paywall
- Rich itineraries with photos, reviews and maps
- Collaboration, price tracking and offline access
- Actively developed, with tourism-board partnerships
- No official Android app
- iOS app needs iOS 26 or later
- Chat-first planning won't suit everyone who prefers drag-and-drop
