What it is

Google Flow Music lets you make songs by chatting with an AI producer powered by Gemini and the Lyria 3 music model. You can upload your own tracks to remix, replace or extend sections, build custom instruments in Spaces and turn songs into music videos. It began as Riffusion, became ProducerAI, and was bought by Google in February 2026.

Latest: Google renamed ProducerAI to Google Flow Music in April 2026.

What the AI does

Pros and cons

  • Very generous free tier with daily credits
  • Cheap paid plans, bundled with Google AI subscriptions
  • Remix, replace and extend tools work on your own uploads
  • Music video generation built in
  • Songs are limited to about three minutes
  • Reviewers find vocals still sound synthetic
  • Commercial rights on the free tier are unclear, and Google has a history of shutting down Labs projects
