What it is
ElevenMusic is ElevenLabs' music app, generating songs or instrumentals from a prompt, lyrics, loop or voice recording with its Music v2 model. You can regenerate single sections, shift genre mid-track, remix other creators' songs and sell tracks through its Music Marketplace. It was trained on licensed data, with deals including Merlin and Kobalt.
Latest: ElevenLabs released Music v2, trained only on licensed data, in June 2026.
What the AI does
- Songs and instrumentals from text, lyrics, loops or voice recordings
- Section-by-section regeneration (inpainting)
- Genre changes within a single track
- Consistent custom or library voices
- Multilingual vocals
- Music API for developers
Pros and cons
- Trained on licensed music, so commercial use is the least legally murky
- Precise editing of individual sections
- Marketplace lets you earn when others use your tracks
- Part of the wider ElevenLabs voice and audio toolkit
- No Android app yet
- Self-serve licences exclude film, TV and studio games
- Credit-based pricing on ElevenLabs plans is hard to compare
How it scores
