What it is
Kagi News reads thousands of community-curated RSS feeds and uses AI to write one cited press review a day, published around noon UTC. Each story has a summary, highlights, quotes, a timeline and context, and you can choose and reorder categories. It doesn't track or profile readers.
What the AI does
- Once-a-day AI press review
- Per-story summary, highlights, quotes and timeline
- Cited sources
- Translation into your language
Pros and cons
- Completely free, with no ads or tracking
- Finite: one update a day, no endless scroll
- Sources are public and community-curated
- Broad global perspectives
- No personalisation beyond choosing and ordering categories
- Only one update a day, so no breaking news
- Limited category coverage at launch
How it scores
Excellent, transparent daily news briefing at no cost; deliberately unpersonalised and updated only once a day.
